What makes you happy? For Catalight, nothing is more important than wellbeing. When caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, our focus isn't solely on accomplishments, but rather on the happiness that can be attained. We understand that there are many ways to help individuals and families reach greater wellbeing—including sometimes prioritizing acceptance over traditional goal measures. Our person-centered approach emphasizes creating environments where individuals feel valued, respected, and supported, recognizing that genuine happiness often stems from a sense of belonging and connection. We invite you to read through this month’s newsletter to learn more about what wellbeing means to us and exactly how we measure it to ensure we’re making a positive impact. Happiness isn't a destination, it's a journey we embark on together.
